yo... promised to tell you about kayaking.. so yeah...

i think almost all of us except audrey capsized.. haha.. actually i think mao maybe wouldn't have gone into the water at all if he din try to rescue the capsized.. haha..

those with one star cert - aud, shiyun, xiaotian and me took the closed kayaks, then jean meng, qiming, wanfen, mao and hanyong took the open canoes (2 doubles and 1 single)

anyway, it was super hard to launch cos the waves were damn big and choppy. i missed the kallang place.. haha... so nice and peaceful waters, super easy to launch. haha. anyway once launced, the next wave is upon you, so just launch only, about quarter of my kayak was filled with water already, haha..

first XT capsized, so we did an unorthodox rafted X rescue for her, draining out the water from her kayak and helping her back into it..

then later i capsized and i think shiyun did her "submarine" thing - haha... cos the kayak was just filling up and filling up with water..it looked damn funny lah... so anyway audrey paddled back to shore with me hanging on to the back of her kayak trying to kick to help her a bit but apparently it's not very helpful.. haha.. and anyway the rest of them at this point in time also capsized, yeah, even the doubles which were supposedly much more stable, cos they were trying to rescue the kayaks.. haha.. and they almost went into the dark hole of the what's-it-called? breakwater? and mao keeps saying there's "bird nest" inside.. haha.. anyway the people standing on the breakwater were like watching show lidat lah... we all like performing capsize for them to see.. haha..

then later after a rest on the shore, we launched again.. jean meng and hanyong went on the doubles first, then i launched.. just launched only, damn full of water in my kayak already, made a turn wanting to head for shore to empty out, then felt a bit lazy, so din go to shore after all, just headed out to sea.. wanted to wait for the rest to launch and go back together, but they took super long and i was just trying to keep my kayak from getting more water, so it was super tiring to stay around the same spot when all the waves crashed around like siao.. so anyway jean meng and hanyong started rowing to return the canoe.. i followed them but halfway kena capsized by super big wave going right into my pit.. haha... so anyway, capsized and floated around for damn long, trying to keep my paddle up to call for help - jm and hy were too far to hear me, the next people to launch were taking super long..

then finally saw sy coming on the single open canoe... so she came over and then mao and wf arrived in their double.. so mao jumped off and helped me up the double... so me and wf rowed for shore in the double..

so yeah. it was capsizing day. haha.. but still fun!
