phew. she's doing great. she has no broken fingers at all, maybe just a chip on the wrist bone. the doc says she's really lucky. that night, i just kept praying that god be with her and heal her, and i thank god he answered our prayers. i havent prayed so fervently in a while.
i kept blaming myself, not for the accident, but for my reaction. i just blanked out and most of the things the other pple yelled just didnt register in my mind. and everytime i heard her scream, i freaked and froze. it wasnt that scary or loud a scream, but just somehow, i reacted that way. i wonder now if i had some tramatic experiences as a child or sth, but i dun rmb any. anyway, that night and the next day, i felt then that i didnt deserve to be staff of the week (oh, forgot to blog that i was staff of the week for week 3) because of my bad response in times of emergency. and i read the next story in My Daily Bread (which i read one story almost every night since i got that backdated issue from netty's church) and the message was every good leader/person makes mistakes and has his pitfalls too. and i believe that's god's assurance to me.
im doing better, so dun worry. pls dun ask me what happened either, i just wish to avoid it for now. thanks.
oh, i got my 'mid-summer' evaluation, and it was pretty good. i had all 5s (i think its very good) cept like 3-4 4s(good). the Asst Camp Director (acd)(the evaluator) said im doing a great job and she's depending on me. heard from another international counselor that the acd told her she's lucky to be one of the few (i dunno intl or american) counselors to be doing well (she got mostly 4 and 5s, with one 3). so i guess im in the top few too. thank you jesus for blessing me so much.
